While preparing for a swim in the North Sea, Brenda was enjoying a moment with her swimming group when a powerful wave knocked everyone down, pulling her carefully crafted prosthetic leg out to sea. This leg, designed to help her navigate water, was a significant part of her life, especially since she had only received it a week prior to the incident. Brenda had lost her leg below the knee five years ago due to a serious car accident, and after waiting over a year for her prosthesis, she was eager to embrace new activities.
