Teen Robbery Plot Foiled by Veteran’s Quick Reflexes Outside His Home
In a startling turn of events that highlights the unpredictability of street-level crime, a group of four teenagers attempted to rob a former Marine at gunpoint outside his own home—but their plan was quickly derailed by the homeowner’s quick thinking and bravery. The incident occurred late Wednesday evening when Jheyco Borda Chura, a retired Marine and local resident, was outside installing a dashcam on his truck. According to Borda Chura, as he focused on his task, a group of teenagers approached him suddenly, demanding his keys, phone, and belongings. “They came up aggressive, demanding I hand everything over,” he recounted.
